Addison Reads 2010
This year's community-wide reading program focused on the power of determination, dedication and
friendship as told in The Pact, the story of 3 young men who made a pact with each other to overcome the negative influences in their lives and to succeed in school and become doctors. We Beat the Street,written by author Sharon Draper, tells the same story, but is geared more toward student readers. On Wednesday,
April 14, 2010, Sharon Draper visited Addison and spoke to students from Indian Trail, St. Philip and
Addison Trail about writing.
