KaBOOM! Comes to Ardmore School!
Playground Build Day, October 7, 2008

KaBOOM!, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to build great playspaces within walking distance of all children, returned to Addison to coordinate the building of a playground at Ardmore School. Home Depot was the major funding partner for this playground and they provided 160 volunteers from their stores in the suburban Chicago area. As part of their NFL Neighborhood MVP program, the playground was built in honor of Chicago Bears player Charles "Peanut" Tillman, who came to the build, pitched in on the project and signed autographs for the volunteers. Ardmore staff, family and community members and organizations also volunteered and donated funds and goods to help make the project a success. The day ended with a board-cutting ceremony watched by excited preschool and kindergarten students.
