Candy Bar Election at Wesley

Students in Ms. Gagnier's class are getting a hands-on lesson on the election processas they conduct a school-wide candy bar election that will be held on Election Day. The class conducted a primary election, making posters, creating commercials and passing out buttons in October to promote the 'candidate' candy bars throughout the school.

Everyone voting on November 4brought their completed Voter's Registration Form to the polling place. Each voter was instructed to step into the voting booth, mark the ballot, and place it into the ballot box. Students had the opportunity to create badges, complete puzzles and answer quiz questions about the presidential election.

Ms. Gagnier's students will count the ballots and will make graphs to present the final votes. The winning candy bar will be announced on November 5.When the winner is announced, each voter will receive miniature candy bars that have been donated by Jewel, CVS, Walgreens, and Wal-Mart in Addison .
