Indian Trail math students celebrate 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939... Day!

Ms. Bledsoe's math classes at Indian Trail Junior High celebrated Pi Day, which is March 14 (3-14).
Pi is the symbol for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Whatever the size of a circle, if you divide its circumference by its diameter you will always get 3.14159..., better known as pi. Students measured plates and dishes, comparing their measurements with their calculations of the circumference of the circular objects. They also celebrated pi by eating pie!
