- TEAM Students Read Rebecca Caudill
Novels
Every year, one book is given the Rebecca Caudill Young Reader's
Award. This Illinois
program was developed to encourage children and young adults to read for
personal satisfaction. Rebecca Caudill lived at the turn of the 20th century.
The books that she wrote speak of honesty and good will, a mirror of the heart
that crosses all geographic and social barriers. Children in grades 4-8
nominate all Rebecca Caudill books. A master list of 20 titles is sent to
participating elementary and middle schools.
The TEAM students are reading as many
books as possible and will be voting for their favorite.
