Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! For the past 10 years, it has been my pleasure to work for Addison School District #4. This is my second year serving as the Principal of Indian Trail Junior High School. I began my teaching career at Indian Trail during the 2001-2002 school year. During that year I taught Humanities and Careers to 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grade students. The following school year I moved into a 7 th grade Social Science teaching position. I held that position for five years. In the 2007-2008 school year, I moved into an administrative position at Indian Trail and served as Dean of Students. For the next two years I served as an Assistant Principal at Indian Trail and then was named Principal for the 2010-2011 school year. Throughout my years as a teacher, I also coached various sports at the junior and high school levels.

This year I look forward to continuing my work with the 8 th grade class, the class of 2012, as their supervising administrator. As we all know, the middle school years can be challenging. It is important that students, parents, teachers and all school personnel work cooperatively to ensure that ALL students are successful in their learning. By working together, we can be effective in making a positive impact on students’ academic and social performance here at school.
