APPLIED TECHNOLOGY
Mrs. Rodriguez's Applied Technology classroom has recently been upgraded, to say the least! The class now uses modular technology to teach students, which means that students are in control of their own learning. From their modules, students read, watch videos and engage in activities using the most cutting edge technology out there today. Students get to experience six different modules in one quarter, which gives them great exposure to not only different types of technologies, but also gives them an idea of what types of careers are out there in technical fields. The modules include: Introduction to Technology; Automation & Robotics; Fiber Optics & Lasers; Computer Problem Solving; Web Development; Engineering & Stress Analysis; Exploring Mechanisms; Flight Simulation; Computer Graphics; Computer Aided Drafting (CAD); CNC Mill; CNC Lathe; CO2 Raceway; and Video Production & Radio Broadcasting.
