Mr. Tataris teaches all of the 6th and half of the 7th grade computer classes. He has the students for one quarter of the "specials" rotation which lasts nine weeks. Students are taught the Microsoft Package software, such as Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Paint, and Access. While all classes are challenging, there is a progression in the curriculum and each grade level builds on what was taught previously. At the end of each quarter, his classes work on a HyperStudio project that lasts about three weeks. During the HyperStudio project, the creativity of the students is challenged and encouraged to create stacks with various themes. Importing images, sounds, movies, creating animations are just part of the challenges awaiting the students.
