I am very pleased to be continuing my service to Addison School District #4 as Principal of Stone Elementary School. Prior to arriving at Stone, I was an Assistant Principal at Indian Trial Junior High School for four years.  I was a classroom teacher for 16 years with experience in mathematics and language arts, as well as, one year working in the special education setting.

I look forward to building relationships with all members of the school community and working together in the best interests of our children.  In my role as Principal, I work directly with teachers supervising curriculum and instruction; overseeing building level committees; evaluating non-tenured staff members, instructional aides, and support staff; and developing professional growth plans with tenured staff members.  This year at the District level, I will continue to serve on the Mentor and Math Committees and look forward to my new membership on the Professional Appraisal Committee.  This year marks my fourth year as the Student Participation Center’s (SPC) Board Chairman.   The SPC is a non-profit, 501c3, juvenile crime prevention program that runs in conjunction with the Addison Police Department.  The program runs virtually year-round, during the school year it is housed at Indian Trail Junior High, and during the summer months, the program operates out of the Addison Park District facilities.

I take great pride in being an educator.  The most exciting part of this profession is not imparting knowledge to others but what I learn from everyone in the school community on a daily basis. It is very fulfilling to watch our children mature, grow, and learn about the world around them and, in particular, to watch them as they reach sought after goals.

I look forward to continuing my service to the families of Addison School District #4.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
