Let me first start by telling everyone just how excited I am about working here at Wesley School. I have heard many wonderful things, and knew I would enjoy working here the moment I walked in the doors. I look forward to working with and getting to know all of you, so when you see me, please take a moment to introduce yourself and say hello.
Now first let me tell you a little about myself as an educator. As you already know, my name is Robert Langman. I grew up in Glen Ellyn, where I went to Forest Glen Elementary School, Hadley Junior High, and then graduated from Glenbard West High School. After high school, I attended the College of DuPage, where I received both my Associates in Arts and Science degrees. After C.O.D, I transferred to Elmhurst College where I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education. Finally, I went on to earn my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. After college I was very lucky, because I was able to get a teaching job right away. I taught 4th grade for one year and 5th grade for five years at Arbor View Elementary School in Glen Ellyn. While teaching at Arbor View, I also took on many other roles including summer school principal and Differentiation/ Curriculum Mapping Coach. I then accepted the position as Assistant Principal at Evergreen Elementary School in Carol Stream. I was able to learn much and grow as a leader in my two years at Evergreen. I now hope to learn more from all of you and everyone here at Wesley School and Addison School District #4. |
