Parents as Teachers

DuPage Regional Office of Education offers a free home-visiting parenting program serving qualified families from birth to age 3 called the "Parents as Teachers Program."

Using an evidence-based curriculum, parent educators offer individualized bi-weekly home visits that encourage optimal child development through healthy interaction with parents or caregivers, building a strong foundation for later school success. Complimentary books are provided at each visit to promote literacy.

Benefits of this program include parent education, activities, access to community resources, group connections, personal goal setting, and evaluations of your baby's development, all of which will help to increase your child's school readiness to achieve success.
